One of our TSF kids, Pharoth (who grew up in the orphanage and then went on to finish college), wrote more eloquently then we could ever hope to. We share this recent FB post of hers with you (with her permission), as a way of saying that your support of TSF changes lives.
"There were some people said being in an orphanage isn't good at all for orphans or kids, but I didn't agree at all with that statement. Some orphanage might abuse the children for their personal gains/benefits, but I'd would make it clear and announce that TSF, the orphanage or my home, where has been giving a new life to me isn't like what they raised and that kind of statement would apply to some other orphanage, I guess. I'm being loved, cared, and especially educated. I've been this far and I'm able to make my life changes completely with the greatest support from #TSF. I'm blessed to be raised by #TSF committees and there is nothing more I could express, my life is being brighten up from the darkness and ugly world. Thank for not ignoring the orphan like me, but you all even love me more. Thank for my surrounding people who have never discriminated me, but encouraged me to try harder. My life has been filled with so much love and care, especially from TSF. My dreams have been filled (being educated, getting a good job, being loved and cared........ ) From an ignorant orphan girl wandering with no hope, no love, and no care to this educated, loved, cared, hopeful and cheerful woman!!" ... Yesterday was Graduation day for 7 of the students who have gone through the TSF high school and college program. It is a great day of celebration. Board member, Lee Steppacher(with husband Dan and friend Andy) along with In-Country Director, Elephant, handed out diplomas. Many people from the Roteang village come to congratulate them on their accomplishment. It starts out with dances from our kids who live at the orphanage, and then there are speeches, diplomas, hugs and smiles all around. This is how one of the students who attended characterized it: TSF is love, TSF is life... Such a good day TSF 😘💜 ... See MoreSee Less
